Why can’t I feel heat under my blanket?

The Human hand is 98˚ F, therefore, the blanket must be equal to or warmer in order to feel the heat. Remember, 50˚ - 60˚ F will thaw and melt fast, but is undetectable to the human hand.

What if I have water in my powerblanket®?

The PowerBlanket is waterproof, however, if you obtain a tear in the vinyl it is possible for water to seep into the blanket, in order to remedy this, cut a slit in the bottom of one side of the blanket, lift up and drain. Dry out the blanket with air and patch with the PowerBlanket Patch kit, and your blanket is as good as new.

Why is the powerblanket® tripping my breaker?

Be sure that you are not plugged in to more than the recommended number of powerblanket® per 20 amp outlet.
Be sure to check that your GFCI is equal to circuit breaker in the panel box.
The GFCI will be located on the outlet itself, which may be in the bathroom.

Can I put additional insulation on my powerblanket®?

Although it is not necessary to put additional insulation on your PowerBlanket, it may increase performance in extreme cold conditions, this is for the Curing and MultiDuty Blankets only. NEVER put additional insulation on any of the ExtraHot Blankets (6'x12', 4'x9' Gravesite Thawer, 4'x5' Motor Warmer , 2'x2' Underdesk).
Also, do not put insulated material such as a dog bed on the hot side of the powerblanket®. This will insulate the blanket and make it really hot. A thin blanket or sheet is okay.
