Propane Tank Warmers Optimize Performance

Propane Tank Warmers

The efficiency of your propane tank is based upon the temperature of the gas within.  Optimize output and performance with propane tank warmers.

Can Propane Freeze?

When the ambient temperature drops below -44° F, propane will freeze.  Below this temperature propane will not vaporize and your tank will freeze.  While there are not a lot of places where temperatures drop this low, any considerable drop in temperature will affect the propane tank pressure.

When the ambient temperature is lower, an optimal tank pressure may be very difficult to maintain.  Propane tank pressure is based on the speed at which the gas molecules move–the faster the molecules are moving, the higher the pressure within.  Cooler/colder temperatures mean slower moving molecules, which prevent propane from vaporizing.  Bringing the propane tank/system up to a temperature above the cooler existing ambient temperature will result in increased propane tank pressure, flow and efficiency.
