Every year during the spring-to-summer transition, there is an event held in Canada that’s of significant importance to the oil and gas sector. This event is the Global Petroleum Show. 2015 marks the 25th running of the event, and it’s certain to be the biggest yet. And yes, Powerblanket will be there again showcasing our technologies.
A Canadian Tradition
The Global Petroleum Show has been a leading showcase in the oil and gas sector ever since its inception in 1968. Starting in 2014, the show became an annual event for its home city of Calgary. Previous to 2014, however, the show was held every other year. Perhaps one of the primary reasons for turning an every-other-year event into an annual showcase is because of the record-breaking numbers the show hit in 2012. That year the show saw 63,000 registered attendees from more than 100 countries. 2000 exhibiting companies came from all areas of the oil and gas industry, and the results filled the 700,000 square-foot space in Stampede Park to full capacity.
What makes this show so big? The Global Petroleum show is one of the most successful means of bringing industry leaders together on both a local and national scale. It represents a grand opportunity for companies to network and create business opportunities and growth between one another. Manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and all other industry contributors are able to come together, showcase their offerings, and leave with valuable connection for the success of their business.
