Powerblanket’s 3’x4’ ground thawing heated blankets can be used to thaw frozen ground, keep vehicle or equipment engines warm, and effectively melt dangerous ice dams. They provide a higher watt density and hotter temperature than the concrete curing blankets they resemble. Our patented design provides uniform heat across the entire blanket, eliminating any hot and cold spots.

This rapid thaw blanket is a maintenance-free heating solution that reduces downtime, eliminates headaches associated with frozen ground, and saves money. It can be heated to a preset of 150 °F ± 10 °F / 65 °C ±5 °C. Melt snow and ice from roofs, walkways, and construction areas. Achieve higher heat control when combined with an adjustable or fixed thermostatic controller.   3’x4’ ground thawing heated blankets come in two different thermal rating classes:
  • Powerblanket - designed for any definitive heating applications, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shel, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F
  • Powerblanket Xtreme - designed for harsh climates, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F

All of our ground thawing blankets come as an insulated, water-resistant design. All Powerblanket products are ETL certified to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards.

  1. The best on the market by far Everything works great! I am a contractor and had to dig an egress in winter time. This blacket thawed 36" down in about 78 hours! Minimal cost on electric bill! Would 100% recommend
  2. Awesome, works great Awesome, works great
  3. Perfect for cold winters! The first one we received did not work properly. However, after returning it and receiving the new one we love it! Works great on ice!
  4. Works Great!!! I like the fact it was so easy to use. I am a 75 year old woman, and it is easy for me to pick up and lie down on my porch to melt snow.
  5. The perfect size!! I didn't know it plugged in!
  6. Good thawing blanket for frozen ground I used it two times this winter to thaw frozen ground in Central Wisconsin. It did the job quite well. 5/30/20. Used it again this winter. It is still working very well.
  7. It works well in a tough application I am very satisfied with this product. I have an ongoing problem with melting snow dripping from my carport metal roof that re-freezes the minute the sun goes down. Consequently a lump of solid ice builds up and won't budge even with a matock. Yesterday afternoon laid the powerblanket on part of it. The overnight temp was 15F. This morning it was completely melted! Those who say it doesn't work are either laying it out upside down, or may have a defective unit. 5 stars so far -I hope it lasts for a few years.
  8. It works Perfect size for posts poles
  9. good product and works as intended I used it last season as an engine warmer for a car that lacked a block heater and it worked well for that purpose even when the temperatures fell below -20 degrees. For that purpose, it fully covered the top part of the engine compartment and also worked to keep the battery warm. I will be adding an external oil pan heater to that vehicle next season, but I will still use this blanket. I also used it to remove some ice buildup on my deck, and it melted through it in a day and half. All in all, good product and works as intended.
  10. Reliable What I like most is that it worked. Reliable. What I like least would be great if it had a storage case.
  11. These really do a great job of thawing ground quickly These really do a great job of thawing ground quickly. I live in North Dakota and the frost can get to 8' in some harsh winters, even some rural water lines froze a couple years back. These will usually thaw about a foot a day directly below the blanket and it's surprising how easy it digs with the moisture softening up the soil. As an electrician these have been a real life saver.
  12. Used it for ground thawing Amazing product, Works exceptionally well. Thawed frozen ground at a rate of 3ft in 24 hours. Also used as a engine heater.

Curing Epoxy Resins

Curing epoxy resins with Powerblanket is easy and efficient! Most epoxy resin and hardener combinations require heat in order to cure since ambient temperatures are not high enough. If the epoxy resins are not heated high enough and evenly enough, the chemical, mechanical and heat resistance properties become compromised. In fact, some epoxy resins require heating in steps to prevent overheating from exothermic reactions.

Here's How Powerblanket Can Make Your Epoxy Curing Process Easier:

* Powerblanket Curing Blankets keeps resins at optimal temperatures during the curing process.

* Powerblanket Curing Blankets preheat molds prior to application.

* Powerblanket Curing Blankets cure epoxy with even heat spreading technology.

* Powerblanket Curing Blankets heat critical materials safely without damaging or compromising them.

Hear What One of Our Loyal Customers Had To Say

“Powerblanket Extra Hot Curing Blankets have simplified the post-curing process for our composite parts. Quick and easy to use on a variety of different shaped parts.
